Our Hybrid TT had a gravity fill fresh water tank. I know it was filled when water started to come out the gravity fill port. Our Motorhome had a water command center so just turned a few valves to fill tank from city water connection. We knew the tank was full when the water spilled out the overflow. Never got water inside the Motorhome.
Our current TT has a gravity fill, but we've never put water in the fresh water tank - we camp seasonally.
