best rv insurance companys and road side assistance plans

Can anyone give me some advice on rv insurance and roadside assistance plans. Also when purchasing insurance for six months does that mean six straight months and if you take a trip after that you have to purchase another six months.
  • Good Sam ERS and Coach-Net are two popular Emergency Road Service providers.

You need to speak to your insurance agent about the RV insurance.
  • I have Nationwide and their Roadside assistance used it a couple of times and like it.
  • Although I don't hesitate being critical of Marcus Lemonis and his staff I would recomend you become a GS member if you don't already belong. I have GS ERS and GS National General insurance. The insurance has changed it's name a couple of times. I have had it since 1988 and happy with it. BTW that GS ERS covers all your vehicles.
  • We have National Interstate Insurance and they include Coach Net roadside assistance. Very happy with the insurance company and used Coach Net once for a flat on our toad. They were extremely helpful and kept calling to make sure we were in a safe area and that the tire guy arrived. When the first tire guy didn't arrive in the appropriate time, they dispatched another that came right away.
  • ps.. you want to keep coverage on your RV even if you're not using it. Ours automatically renews each 6 months.
  • Contact Gilbert RV Insurance in Orlando. They are agents for several specialist companies.

    (We use Good Sam ERS.)
  • RV insurance??? Are you talking travel trailer type or motorhome type? I use the same insurance company that insure my stick house and two more rental units, my two cars, and motorhome. The best is the one who looks out for your interests. My insurance agent has looked out for my interest for well over 10 years now. He has even taken care of me when someone at the insurance company goofed up.
  • USAA for insurance. Had Progressive before. No problems with either. Had Coachnet for mh but got too exspensive for me. Now Allstate Motor Club. Covers all my vehicles and all drivers in family. Also gets me KOA card renewal for free since we chose Allstate via KOA. Not sure if KOA still offers that.
