Brand new, need advice on buying new vs used

While I have only owned one used camper, have friends that buy new RVs every few years it seems.
1 year warranty is not very long and IMO mostly fixes the bugs and defects from the factory. After that is taken care of they are pretty reliable and the warranty is gone anyways.
With the prices being very similar buy the one that best suits you.
Only justification I could see for new over used is that the new one spent 3 less years out cooking in the sun and will not oxidize and deteriorate as quickly.
