Camper tires

I run Hankook 7.50R16LT tires on our 40' fifth wheel.

Are your tires "E" or "G" rated tires?, (ie, 6,000# or 7,000# rated axles on your rv). If "E" rated and the weight range covers your axle weight rating, the Michelin XPS RIBS are a very good tire, along several others...IF a "G" rated tire, the GY G614 is a good tire, but quite expensive. Sailun makes a G rated tire that is more affordable in the "G" weight range IF that is what your unit requires.

....but again, need to know what your axle ratings are or what weight range tires are recommended for your rv.

I've ready many posts about LT tires on trailers. I've even seen LT tires installed on new 5er's from the factory as original equipment.

We replaced our OEM Chinese ST tires with LTs after a year because of all the blowout reports. Installed Michelin XPS Ribs.
Goodyear makes some good LTs (not Marathon though) as well as some other manufacturers.

Does anyone know what the weight of the OP's unit is? What weight axle's? Kind of hard to give OP a suggestion without knowing a couple of the weights....

Any NON China LT tire will be better than what you have. Purchase a similar size tire as the orginial ST, consider what weight rating it had.

Thanks so much for all of the replies. Where can I find the rated axles lbs? I bought this used and not much info from seller. It has E rated tires on it now. It is a 35' Fleetwood 5th wheel gvwr 14,000. Can't get any info from Fleetwood since they stopped making them.

With a GVW of 14,000#, odds are you have 6,000# weight rated axles. (approx. pin weight of 2800# sets in the bed of the truck), leaving 11,200# on the axles..."E" rated tires souldn right .I'd still highly recommend the Michelin XPS RIBS, though there are probably others to be recommended that wouldn't be as pricey.
