Caulk remover

Have slide out that has real hard caulk on it.used a plastic putty knife, does not work.I do not want to ruin the clear coat on the slide out. Help

Use the tool in the Homax kit, lay your bead of caulk then spray the area with soapy water then using the tool smooth; several youtube videos on this method.

When you replace it & want a smooth bead here is a trick. You can never get it smooth & neat with just the gun.

Tape either side. Apply, not too much. Smooth over with an ice cube. It will not drag like a tool.

Got this from Lowes it works pretty well along with heat gun.

Hair dryer or heat gun on low heat to soften it up. Scrape with a hard plastic putty knife or credit card. Laquer thinners to clean up the residue. There is no magic easy way.
