I have finally figured out what I want in a fifth wheel and went out to a few dealerships to get some in-person perspective. I was shown one that would fit the bill quite nicely. A 2013 Sundance 3300 (38'). That said I noticed some bubbles near the roofline along one side, ranging from a couple of inches down from the roof to a bubble about 8"x8" a few inches down from the roof. I asked the dealer about it possibly being water damage and was told that the walls sometimes 'just did that' & that if there really was a leak, it would be obvious from the inside given all the recent rain. The inside was great. I'm sorry to say that I did put $ down... but I refused to finish signing the paperwork when I realized that they were only proposing to re-caulk 'if necessary'.
I've done some focused reading & would appreciate a reality check...
- the bubbling really is most likely water damage &I really can happen even to a 'young' unit
- it may not be 'major', but their ' deny a probable problem' approach tells me I should walk away
Thoughts?
Thanks!
