That is something we looked for.... it is hard to find a passenger van with the HD towing package in a 250 or 350 without it having been converted to cargo or wheelchair. Lots of e150s with the v8 engine but their payload is similar to the expedition.
We will keep our eye out for a v10 or diesel (impossible to find!) in a 250 or 350. I look online every now and then. I think all 250s are cargo only though. Really I've only seen one v10 passenger van and no diesel when I looked for several months last summer. Wish Ford didn't stop making the E-series!
If we are AT payload, what is affected - handling of the TV? I am planning to upgrade the tires and talk to my mechanic about adding a leaf spring too.
Maybe it won't be too much of a pain to set up the dinette and sofa every night if we are stuck doing that.
