Negotiating a Purchase

My hubby and I are buying a new TT this year. If you factory order a TT, do you lose bargaining power? if so, does it make sense to buy what is on the lot and add options later?

you always have bargaining power. figure out what is a fair price that you are willing to pay and offer it. if they don't take it, walk. I have had salesmen chase me across the parking lot after I walk. While they would like to unload some slow mover on the lot, they have virtually no large cost in ordering you one.

Depending on how long a unit has been in the dealer's stock can influence how deep they will discount. They prefer to sell from stock (especially smaller dealers) because often they have costs for flooring the in stock units. Given the choice to sell one they are paying flooring charges on and one being delivered straight from the factory, they prefer the former. Under neither circumstance should you ever pay MSRP.

no. I asked about a keystone RES321 and they run any where from 52K to 42K and they were going to give it to me for 36K
