pressure pro tpms

anyone use the pressure pro pulse monitor with dipole antenna?
how does it work?
how was the antenna to install and where did you mount it?
my RV is a 25 foot LTV Unity, with an aluminum sandwiched body.
do you think I need the pulse or would the 16 wheel monitor with just a monopole antenna work?
  • When I looked up the dipole antenna it appears to be weather resistant. But it only comes with an 8 foot cable. I would recommend under the vehicle as far to the rear as possible if you plan to tow a trailer if no trailer then almost anywhere under the vehicle.

    Dipole antenna

I have the monopole antenna that came with a 35 foot cable. I mounted my antenna under the rear bumper of my truck. That gives it a clear shot to the tires on my 5th wheel and the utility trailer that I tow behind the 5th wheel.

When I used the signal strength feature of my Pressure Pro I had good signals from all tires including the utility trailer.
  • I know I'm a little late to this party but I had to add the repeater antenna to my pressure pro. I have a 40' DP and I installed the repeater antenna in the basement about half way back where a 12v outlet was. I still get occasional loss of signal from one of the toad sensors but it doesn't last long.
  • I mounted my antenna/repeater on the shelf where the rear TV was supposed to sit. There was a 12 volt point that was intended to be used for a dc TV power and I used that for the antenna.
I had a 35 foot class A and one tire on the toad was intermittent. The antenna eliminated that problem.

I have a 10 year old PPro and by mounting it so the stub/monopole antenna sticks up in my driver's window I have no problem getting a signal even when the toad is parked 10-15' behind my MH...probably 75' away.
