RV Inspectors

I'll likely be buying an RV out-of-state. In the antique vehicle market, there are independent inspectors who will go look at the vehicle and send me a condition report. Then I know whether or not I should even consider making an offer.

Are there similar independent inspectors for RVs? If so, how do I find them?

I'm leery of dealers as they tend to have their own self interests as heart.
  • Yup - am looking for one in Florida specifically. I guess my Google Fu is weak.
  • I cheated. That guy participates on another forum that I belong to. :)

Maybe check with some of campgrounds near where you're ordering from. I'm betting most mobile RV techs would be willing to do it for a price. The campgrounds could recommend techs that they know of and use.
  • Probably not a bad idea. We bought ours sight unseen at Lazydays.com. A very pleasant experience. Of course Ours was new, so other than warranty work we weren't too concerned about the quality of the coach.
