Going to Florida for 3 months this winter, have seen people with what looks like 10x20 screen room next to camper. wondering where to find something like that that will hold up for stay.

In four years of using our screen room I've never been told it couldn't be used. Then again, most of the time it's placed over rocks or asphalt anyway as the pads are wide enough for trailer and room.

We decided long ago we wouldn't RV in an area where bugs require a screen room! Takes the point of it all away for us. We're in the SW so bugs are not a problem.

I do like the patio tent for added sleeping room for smaller TT's. We did that for many years until a bad monsoon flooded our tent despite being pitched on a slope, drainage ditch dug around tent etc. Wasn't fun!

We use ours on extended stays, or when our 20-something kids are along.

There are several stand alone models that vary greatly in quality. They have a frame that expands like a 3d accordion and sets up in minutes. We got ours at Gander Mountain and it came with rain fly on four sides if needed. It stakes into the ground and withstood uplift in some moderate winds recently.

There are many kinds of screen rooms. They come in all sizes and price ranges. Was it attached to the RV or just next to it? We have a 12X12' Gander Mountain screen room but it doesn't attach to the RV. It also has a floor like a tent which keeps our cats in and the snakes, rodents and crawling insects out. Most screen rooms don't have full floors so make sure before you buy.

We had a Paddy O'Room (that's the brand name--there may be other ones out there) on our last unit. They attach to the awning roller and sides of the RV. We used Velcro on the sides, instead of installing the things provided with the room. We loved it. Do a search to see who sells them in your area.
