West coast to the East coast return, July 2017.

My wife and I are planning to leave Vancouver Island July 1 2017 and travel to PEI and then return around the end of August. Would appreciate any info on routes to take and travel costs in the US vers...

Even with the exchange rate gas will still be cheaper via US routes.
For example today in Montana regular gas is US $2.20 per USG which is about the same as CDN $1.00 per Liter. You will not get a liter at CDN $1 any where in Canada during the driving season.
