What to do with the mail

Question

We are getting ready to retire. The house is up for sale and when it is sold we are out of here. We would like to get rid of sticks and bricks for about a year. A problem that I am having is what to do with the mail. There is no one who we trust for putting them down as a new address to have our mail forwarded to. Any suggestions on what to do. would be appreciated.

I use a local mail service. Check around your area. Private mail boxes are available in a lot of places.

First of all start calling on all of the junk mail and catalogs that you don't want and have yourself removed from their mailing lists. This takes a while because some companies only mail things out once a quarter, but I've cut our mail down to almost nothing.

If on their literature they don't have a phone #, just do an internet search for something like JJ Gill Customer Service Phone Number and you'll find one.
