- jplante4Explorer IIWe pulled ours out of the track, removed the hooks and sent them to a professional cleaners $70. Another $10 for new hooks and rollers. Good as new.
- doxiemom11Explorer IIWhen we purchased our used motorhome the original fully pleated draperies were in it. After a couple of years I took them down and washed in cold water, gentle cycle. They shrunk and were no longer long enough.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIIf your curtains have sewn in slides or rollers, there's usually a screw or little clamp at the ends of the track. Removing them allows the curtains to slide off the tracks.
- lj2654ExplorerI have never personally cleaned mine. I have heard of one method which I still haven't had the nerve to try yet!
Take the curtains down, remove all the hooks, then use rubber bands to kind of hold them together loosely, and using woolite wash them on a gentle cycle using cold water in your washing machine. Do not put in dryer but spread them out and hang up to dry outside.
Not my recommendation so I have no input as too how well it works, guess that's why I am apprehensive still...and afraid they may fall apart from age....LOL! - paulcardozaExplorerAren't they just up there with curtain hooks????
