95 through Vegas, Parker then I-10 East to Quartzite is by far the safest weather wise. 95 south thru Blythe is 20 miles further but a bit better road. South of Reno can see snow around Tonopah which is at 6,000' elevation.
If there is 0% chance of snow and roads are all clear then 395 south towards I-10 east would save time. It's the shortest route with more interstate and very good roads all the way as well as scenic. I take this route any time weather is clear but avoid is theres any chance for snow or if it has snowed in the few days prior mainly around Mammoth Lakes.
