1000 lbs bars with 500 tongue weight
I bought a used trailer and it came with 1000 lb bars, but the tongue weight fully loaded and ready to go is 500 lbs. thoughts? Order smaller bars, or keep the free heavy ones?

I have a ProSeries hitch with 550 lb bars...rides like a dream with my tongue weight close to 500 lbs. I've used heavier than needed spring bars and it resulted in a rougher ride to me.
I recommend matching the spring bars as close to the loaded tongue weight as possible.
