1999 Dutchman sluggish or chugging

On our way home from a trip today our class C RV started chugging or missing at about 70 miles an hour. After we pulled off the road and sat for a few minutes and filled up the tank with gas it started to run normally again. When the chugging started we had about a quarter of a tank of gas. Almost seem like it was out of gas or wasn’t getting enough gas. It would go for a little bit and then start chugging and then go little bit and then start chugging and finally we were able to get off the highway to get to a gas station. Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas on what could’ve caused this?
  • Might be a bad fuel pump. With a full tank it has a bit less work to do.
  • Change fuel filter. Then if problem persists test fuel pressure and post details on engine
  • Sounds like debris, water, in fuel tank.
    Have you changed fuel filter?
