I am thinking about getting dish satellite pay as you go. Have any 2011 Rockwood 2604 owners out there had any success with doing this? There is a cable and satellite connection on the outside of my TT, but I understand this does not actually mean that connecting to it will allow the satellite to work, and some folks have to run the cable thru a window.

you won't find many owners here, of your particular model.
if that's what you want, suggest you go to ForestRiverForums.com
there's a Rockwood TT-specific section there, just for Rockwood TT owners.

Appreciate the info. I do have all that, but have heard rumors that sometimes possibly the splitter is not correct for the direct tv satellite. Would hate to spend all that money on a satellite and receiver and then have to run a cable inside a window to the receiver. I certainly don't want to do that. I'll run it by the folks we are buying it from today and see if they can verify outside connections will suffice. Thanks again.

If there are two hookups on the outside, one for cable and one for satellite, then it should work for dish or directv. There should be two hookups by the tv also, one for the dish box.
