3M stripes on camper doors.

Question

I'm trying to redo the stripes on my 2007 Springdale. When it comes to the rough surface of the doors (which I think are a foam core setup), I can't get the 3M vinyl striping to stick.

They've been cleaned to within an inch of their lives.

Any suggestions?

I suggest this with great caution (Test in an inconspicuous area first type caution like bleach on fabric)

GOOP. it's a mild adhesives and sealant. Some formulas are very UV resistant. Sticks to dang near everything... But some things better than others.

That is the proper way BUT I have found that a wipe down with paint thinner (not Lacquer thinner) then a wash with Dawn, finally a mix of 98% ALCOHOL AND WATER. One part alcohol to 9 parts water and use only clean paper towels. A cloth never seems to be perfectly clean. Good luck
