Personally, I would wait until you get the RV. Try it for a couple weeks and decide what mods will work best.

I'm not familiar with the Vista interior.
When the barn door is open will it block anything?
Maybe the accordion door isn't as bad as you think, and maybe it's junk.

I like to analyze things before I make changes. But, that's me. :)

Not in an RV, but I once installed a pocket door, not inside, but on the outside. Works and looks great and still using it til this day. You'll obviously need an open wall for that, but you do have 4 chances at this.
Again, you need to really look this thing over and all the way through, before beginning.
Most likely, once you get it, you'll get yourself tied up with some other unforeseen things and that'll go on the back burner for awhile, so you should have plenty of time for looking things over.

thanks for the thoughts.... just want to separate the living/forward sleeping area (kids) from the bedroom (adults). the accordion is not so good for that. I have had accordions in my B+ (2009 LTV Serenity) and they are junk.

My unit has a Pocket door but that hold wall is just a little bit thicker than the other cross wall. I think I would wait as others have stated.

I put a solid core lauan door on barn hardware on our bathroom in the S&B. It does not close tightly, but rather just covers the door opening. Not an issue for us because the loo is in another room with another door. We just needed it to block the light, which it does. If you're looking for sound isolation or privacy, the barn door hardware is not ideal.

You can hang a pocket door without the wall. We have pocket doors in the Sahara and they isolate the bedroom and bathroom very well.

Some real potential for a lot of noise. You will need to provide a way to secure it to avoid clatter. I love barn doors at home.

Welcome to the forum, you'll find a lot of good info here. As others have stated, a "barn door" is not going to be a tight fit so little sound isolation and possibly poor light seal as well. You would probably be better off waiting until you have the rig so you can see what you are dealing with. Good luck and congrats on the new rig.

Depends on your size and floor plan. Several of the larger units have a door forward of the bath area and some don't, plus some have the folding door and the regular door. On the latter looks as though a barn door would be an EZ install. With the others wait and see, also a color match might be nice.
