AC and Fridge Vent Question

Well the OP said AC vents so not sure what covers he's referring to. Anyway a garden hose, not a pressure washer, shouldn't be a problem. If you can drive down the freeway at 60+ mph in the rain with no leaks a garden hose shouldn't cause a leak.

Sounds like you-all are talking about two different things.

Vent "covers" usually means the Maxx-Air or Camco covers that are like sea shells sorta things installed over the vents so the vents can be left open in the rain.

I think the OP is talking about the vents themselves; the square devices mounted on the roof with a hinged lid.

Vent covers install with external bolts and brackets. Vents have a flange that is screwed to the roof and covered with sealant.

Take 'em off if you're concerned, there's only four bolts holding each one in place.

Are the bolts covered with lap sealant?
