Air bags or Timbrens?

I have used Timbrens and airbags but now StableLoads are what I prefer. Your question is between bags and Timbrens, I would choose airbags.

Thanks for all the replies. I ordered the Timbrens. I'll try this first since it is simple and easy and not that expensive. If they don't work I'll try the air bags.

I put air bags on my Pathfinder and they were nothing but trouble. I have Sumo Springs on my Tacoma, which are helpful.

Air Bags are great and have advantages, but I went with Timbrens on my Tundra mainly due to the simplicity, lower cost, and 20 minute install.

For the 2008 F250 you will want to add the air bags. I love the timbrens. I use them myself. Your ford will need all the help it can, get the bags. You need the adjustment range and the capacity.

Timbrens work great for me. They don't increase the carrying capacity but they sure stabalize the unit. They are cheap and easy to install as well, no maintenance after installation.

Hitch Weight 2,005 lbs.
UVW 10,555 lbs.
CCC 3,450 lbs.

First I would get a scale slip loaded! Know what your weights are.
The dry weight is about 700# more than ours, the Dry hitch is about our loaded. Really if not exceeding your rear axle rating, I would go with the bags, as they are adjustable.
Can't give real world experience as I don't need either, as the Camper Package gives me plenty of support.

Love my timbrens, made a huge difference in the stability while pulling.

Bigger truck. Cedar Creeks can be notoriously pin heavy. No matter what add ons you apply to the truck, nothing will alter the GVWR/GCWR of your truck.
