Steve - thanks for your service! I have a lot of family who are still in the military - Those still serving are mostly in the Army - husband & his father were both Special Forces & my Dad was WW2 Army so I have military in my blood.

Any time you are ready to come to work for us, please let me know. We have an Amazon Warriors group at Amazon that would welcome you with open arms! If you have any additional questions, my direct email is petrusch@amazon.com

  • Thank you for the responses...I am curious mainly because DW and I have looked at this is an alternative after I retire from the Army in a few years (after 26+ years).

    Thanks - Steve
  • to all: we do sometimes "convert" campers to a full time job if they are interested. It doesn't happen very often but it has so the answer is yes, we do hire full time if you are interested in a full time role. If it isn't at the fulfillment center where you are currently working, you may have to work as a temp first since Leathercrafter is correct that the way we hire most new hourly workers is to try them out through a temp service initially to see if the job is a fit.
  • There have been a few workampers who went to work for Amazon following their time as a workamper. But they are hired on as temp workers, the same as anyone else coming in new to the organization.
  • Probably not the best place to ask, but I often wonder if Amazon hires any work campers as full-time employees if the folks like the area? Just wondering as someone who might work camp after I retire from the military in a few years...or may find a 'real job' and do bricks & sticks for a few years. Just curious...
  • This will be our third year as workampers and I just saw a notice for a job fair for the Moreno Valley CA new fulfillment center. My question is, are the they going to be hiring workampers for trainers?
if so We would be very interested. Thanks

  • Sorry - I still have to catch up with changing all my job descriptions! We are paying utilities in TN - except propane.
