An inspiring story
I wanted to share a blog with everyone of an inspiring story about a promise and friendship. I hope this is ok to share on here. If you like to read, you will enjoy the blog.

A brief:
There is a man who is currently making his way on horseback from Gatesville, TX to Wind River Ranch in Colorado. He is followed closely by a female friend in a rented RV. They make approximately 20 or so miles per day and left San Angelo, TX this morning.
The reason for this journey is due to a promise made to a friend on his death bed. These two best friends were former classmates and worked summers together at Wind River Ranch. Jonathan Avitia had a saddle that both he and Winston Hall loved. Winston had offered to purchase this saddle many times but Jonathan would not sell. Jonathan was diagnosed with cancer at a very young age and it was an aggressive cancer that would soon take his life. He told Winston that upon his death, he wanted Winston to have his saddle. Winston promised in return that if that were to happen, he would put that saddle on a good horse and ride from Jonathan's parent's ranch near Gatesville all the way to Wind River Rach. This is where to blog starts. It is a very inspiring read about the hardships they face as well as the generosity of those they have met along the way
The Rental RV has a sign on the side of each door that says "Journey for Jonathan". The path is laid out on the blog. If you happen to pass by a man on his horse and a Rental RV nearby with "Journey for Jonathan" on the doors...give them a shout of encouragement. As from my past experience, RVers are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! If you live or know someone who lives along the route or know of a safe place for them to camp along the way, let them know. They are always seeking a safe place for the horse at night (either in a pen, behind a fence or at least a safe place to tie him off).
Winston is a writer and will be writing a book about the journey once finished.
I hope you enjoy the read as much as I have and will continue to follow it. Donna makes a new post every couple of days or so.
