UPDATE================UPDATE=====================
FIRST OF ALL THANK U ALL FOR UR SUGGESTIONS AND ADVISE AND HELP IN THIS MATTER, IT IS MOST APPRECIATED AND AS ALWAYS A GREAT FORUM TO COME TO FOR ANY TYPE OF PROBLEM AND TO GET SOME GREAT ADVICE.
SO HERE IS THE UPDATE......
I got the finance com name and acct number from the seller so that i could contact them myself. it was a ROGUE CREDIT UNION OUT OF MEDFORD OR., A FAIRLY LARGE UNION IN THE STATE. so I explained to the girl what i wanted to do as far as paying off the sellers note and to have the title sent to me. she said that was not a problem. She emailed me a transfer of title forum that was signed and notarized by the seller and sent back to the union. I confirmed that they did receive it and it is on file with my name to have the title sent to me. I also confirmed that the title that they had the lien on was the same TT and VIn number as the one we are buying. She also suggested that i contact AZ DMV and get a BILL OF SALE forum and fill out and get notarized, just in case the title gets lost in the mail, with the bill of sale u cam apply for a duplicate title. So we did get that and filled it out by both of us and signed. so that was taken care of.
as a extra precaution i contacted the OR. DMV and gave them the VIN number and they ran it and confirmed that it was indeed reg to the seller and was a currant reg and THAT THERE WAS NO REPORT OF THE TT BEING STOLEN and also confirmed that there was a lien on it from ROGUE cri. union... AS A EXTRA PRECAUTION I CONTACTED KEYSTONE RV and gave them the VIN number and they confirmed that the VIN did come back to the TT in question.
OK, so i got a payoff figure for the note (10 day payoff fig) which was a little lower than the agreed price and i will just give him the difference (about 300.00).
the seller drove the TT from vegas to our house here in Az. and we checked it out to our satisfaction
Contacted my bank and made a appoint with them. went to the bank with the payoff amt. the routing number and address of the union. They confirmed that the routing number was from ROGUE and they did a wire transfer from my acct to ROGUE. it was confirmed that they received it and the title is in the mail as per my bank and ROGUE.
So that about sums it up. we have possession of the trailer along with a signed BILL OF SALE and confirmation that the title had the lien satisfied and is in the mail.
So all worked out good but at times in the beginning i wasn't really sure. WE really wanted this TT and have been looking for well over a year. The price for the TT was really very good and the seller just basically wanted the loan paid off. we have been looking for this TT and have found a few over the years but all were at least doubled or even more than what we paid.
By reading some of your suggestions and ideas it gave me the right path to approach this and for that I thank u all.
I realize that there are many scams out there and just glad that this was not one of them.
SO AGAIN THANK U ALL AND I HOPE I WILL BE ABLE TO HELP SOMEONE OUT HERE IN THE FUTURE. THANK YOU.
