Anyone Bought RV/Camping Supplies At A Rummage Sale ?

I went to a rummage sale this weekend and purchased two small chairs that foldup twice for very easy storage. (2 bucks each)

Bought an "on demand" 8 piece fire ring for when I am dry camping in a secluded area. (5 bucks)

Got a smaller than twin size air mattress for 5 bucks. This will be great to use for when I fold down the captains chairs to sleep.

Just wondering who else has got great deals on RV/camping supplies at rummage/garage sales, flea markets etc.

I once bought a 50 amp extension cord for $30. The people were divorcing and the wife had all the rv stuff. The cord is great. We sometimes camp in a state fair ground and you cant always get close to the pole to plug in.

We got a brand new in the box NuWave Oven with extender ring and 2nd stack-able grill rack at a garage sale for $50. Now we do not have to take the at home Nuwave oven in and out of the RV each trip.

my camper is almost completely furnished form thrift shops and yard sales. too many good deals to count.

Got to add my two cents to this topic. I went to a local garage sale a couple of weeks ago advertised on Facebook. Said the sellers were quitting RVing and were selling lots of RV related stuff. Well, I got there and turns out I knew the guy.

I scored a rvibrake2 that had been used twice. Looked new, came with unused brakeaway setup. Scored for $400. Time to replace my 2007 Brake Buddy anyway since it has acted up a couple of times. Brand new Sentry gun/document safe for $10. Needed it to travel to California this winter. 159 piece set of Stanley tools unused. Case was scuffed from rattling around in the under bay, $30! Didn't really need the tools but just couldn't pass it up. He had an almost new Blue Ox two bar and cables for $200 but didn't need it. People were "fighting" over all kinds of bits and pieces.

Over the past few weeks, we have bought some things at garage sales etc. for "Christmas In July" theme at the campground this weekend.

My girlfriend bought a set of rope lights at a garage sale over the weekend. 5 dollars for the set.

When we cleared out the house prior to going full-time - an RV friend who didn't even know it was us having the sale bought a bunch of Corelle we had for sale. Mentions they enjoy it in their Class A ever time we see them - two or three times a year.

I kept most of the RV specific stuff and sold it all at the flea market at the Texas Samboree.

While in So Cal bought an electric chain saw for $5. Used it now for 5 years, works great.
When the dealership up the road closed I got 3 new (dry) vehicle batteries for $20

I buy all the RV/Camping Supplies I can at rummage sales, why not? To give an idea of the savings, I bought a North Face sleeping bag once for $2.50, it was too short for me so I sold it on eBay for... $75, such a deal!

I bought some white plastic lawn/camping chairs at a garage sale last Saturday. It was the end of the day so I got 2 for two bucks!

I bought a Coleman stove with 4 gas bottles and a Coleman lantern for $20 bucks. I bought a Tent for my Element for $50 with poles. I love the yard sales and when i see a camper or RV in the driveway I always stop. I bought a roll 50 foot of #4 copper wire for $20 and went to the scrap yard and sold it for over a $100 . I always buy Craftsman tools (Sears ) no matter what condition because they are warranted for life.
