Back in the 80s I went to a Buffet concert at Miami Marine Stadium in my boat.
We rafted with 2 other boats, Now that was fun!!
We were there! We also saw a free Buffet concert from the penthouse terrace at Ontario Place while attending an event there. Mr. B acknowledged those of us gathered and complimented our savvy in being three. I have been fortunate to meet him though the Save the Manatees program in Florida and when his daughter was at Palm Beach School for the Arts. He and his wife, Jane, are super people. - bobsinnExplorerBack in the 80s I went to a Buffet concert at Miami Marine Stadium in my boat.

Going to Jones Beach Theater to see Jimmy Buffett with the truck camper in August. Any experiences with taking an RV to this or any other Buffett venue?
I've been to Jones Beach Theater since it was remodeled after Sandy.
You can park there for free but get there early so you don't wind up in the overflow area which is further away and might not accommodate a
camper.
Do you already have or need a local camping reservation?
Hither Hills is prolly fully booked if the show is on the weekend but there is a good chance you can get a night or 2 stay at the county campgrounds.

How do I book a county campground. I read it was lottery?
I believe the lottery is for the cabanas on the beach near one of the campgrounds.
Here's a link to the Nassau county operated campgrounds:
https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/1811/Campgrounds
Took little effort on my side so I called and asked. No lottery system for either campgrounds and you can make a reservation via telephone:
Nickerson (RV sites only): (516)571-7702. Office open 9:00 A- 4:00P)
Battle Row: (516)572-8690
Forgot to ask what days the reservation offices are opened but am assuming M-F.
HTH. - hotbyteExplorerDid one time a few years back when he was in Atlanta on a Saturday. Would love to go again but last few years have been weekday concerts in Atlanta and can't swing it with DW and my work schedules.
It was a blast. We had about 10 people at our MH (some came in separate cars) plus one of our guests daughter had 15 or 20 friends at a TT right beside us.
- Get there early!!!
- Anticipate a painfully slow exit after concert!!!
- Bring several empty trash cans/large bowls for ride home in case of post-party, over-drinking issues with anyone in your group :(
The only issue we had was one guest, that had not drank any alcohol, slipped on the grass hill at amphitheater and broke her ankle. It really messed her up for several months healing & recovering.
Enjoy and fins to the left :) - Wagonqueen_TrucExplorer

If you like RV friendly concerts check out Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, WI. It's one of the biggest band festivals around.
The number of RV's that show up for that 'four day' concert festival is just unbelievable. They have several top headliner bands.
Check out the aerial shot of all the RV's!

Thanks for the info, but I hate country music. ( no offense) - Wagonqueen_TrucExplorer

Certainly like your knickname. Friend went to Buffet here in OC Irvine Meadows. Guy in 30s. Lines of RVs in parking lot. Festive and decorated. Some people dressed up in Buffet attire. He generally knows how to have a good time, but he thought the crowd in the parking lot was too drunk for his taste. He actually sounded disappointed by the experience. Pictures I saw had lot of partying.. YMMV.
Thanks!
Drunk people are exactely the reason I wanna bring the RV. Thinking relaxing in air conditioning, a nice lunch, and perhaps an afternoon nap, away from the roar of the drunk old people. Although I am sure we will mingle and partake in tequila a bit throughout the day. - rockhillmanorExplorerIf you like RV friendly concerts check out Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, WI.
