Are some RV types easier to re-sell?

A 32-35' travel trailer will not be easy to sell - too unruly on the highway.

A Class C, possibly, but with a long overhang it's not going to be a comfortable drive, turning or parking.

A 5th wheel, yes.

A motorhome, yes.

Totally depends on the geographical area. IE Cali and the SW with toyhaulers, PNW and truck campers etc.
in general, more expensive = smaller target market and then season and condition of the rv play in heavily.
If looking for a purchase and quick turnaround to sale after a big trip or something, then buy a used, popular good condition run of the mill TT. IMO.

Are you buying to sell or are you buying to use it? The easiest to sell will be the most popular type seen in the CGs or parked in driveways.

That may not be the type that best suits your wants or needs.

If you buy something that you are not happy with you will be selling it much sooner.

In my area in California TT-TH's outsell by a huge margin on the used market. I see about 50/50 on TT and 5th's at campgrounds, but the storage lots are full of 5th's that just sit, and the ones for sale just sit unless the price is very low. The TT and TH do sell quite fast at good prices because: 1.There is not many used available, 2. Lower entry price for new RV customers, 3. and most have a Truck ready to go. Toy Haulers sell the fastest, and the new RV's seemed to get built cheaper today?

In my observation where I live and in areas where we frequently camp, smaller travel trailers (21 ft and smaller) and pop-ups sell in weeks, larger travel trailers take months, 5vers and "A"s can take a year or more. In one area we go there is a 5ver by the side of a road that's been for sale for something like 3 years. Of course this likely varies by local market and of course how attractively something is priced.

Early spring is by far the best time to put them up for sale. If you live near where there is an RV show, put it on the market just before the show. Try and get it to a place that's visible from busy roads.

Thanks for the post. That's some helpful real world experience I was hoping to get. I expect I'll need to use whatever I buy for at least 5 years to get my money's worth out of it.

Campers, TT, Class C, Class A and a couple of home made RVs. There will be a buyer somewhere. Right price, good condition and how you advertise it will make the difference.

You can quickly and easily sell or trade it but, you're going to take a mega beating. :B
