Around Me app

What is it? How can it benefit me?

Google Play lists at least 6 different "Around Me" and "AroundMe" apps. Any idea which one your friend was referring to?

I'm not sure which exact one she used but said they used it to find restaurants, ect close to their location. Sounded similarr to Next Exit to me.

I've used it before. It's handy in more metropolitan areas. Not so much in rural settings. For those that don't know, it uses your Gps location and shows you restaurants and such within a certain radius. You can view them on a 3d map or regular 2d map or even just a list. It will give you directions as well.

iExit app will do the same thing: exit/intersection information; things around you as you drive or walk; and mapping with audible turn directions if you want it.

I've used aroundme. It works pretty well, but as mentioned, doesn't always have all the businesses. Probably no different than any other similar app.

X2 and then some of the business that are closed still popup and you wait your time driving there. If at all possible if it says it is were you want to go...call first.

We just use "The Next Exit"

Yelp is a good one.

Around me is the one I use.
Try out the free version first.

Next Exit is for Freeway exits only.
Yelp is OK but mostly used for reviews in larger cities.
Around Me shows where all the small businesses are, around you.
