Awning Led Light Srip

Anyone have a problem with the RV manufacturer/awning mfgr. supplied light strip not remaining straight (wavy)? I cannot see what the fix is to correct this.
  • Wow one simple question and here comes the complainers. Just hope I don't camp by them. I've seen the lights under the awnings but don't know how they work. We lay some rope light on the ground just for convenience of moving around in the dark and not falling. I do like the looks of the light strips.
  • I've yet to see an RV that was "light tight". When you hit the sack for the night, have some consideration for your fellow campers and turn off your outside lights.

Hey Mark, if you don't have anything constructive to say, say nothing!

I did say something constructive and I'll say it again more slowly for those understandingly impaired. Outdoor lights of any description are intrusive. "Quiet hours" should include said lights.

And you are correct, my comments aren't specifically responsive to the original question. I apologize. Now in our 14th year of fulltiming, noise (aural or visual) are peeves we avoid nearly always.

Sounds like maybe you should just quit camping & stay home.
OP, I have the same issue with my strip, appears the channel the lights sit in are part of the awning, don't know how to fix other than replace awning. I just bought another light strip with 3M backing & stuck it to the trailer.

  • If its like mine (non factory) it should be double faced tape. I used a tape
measure off the awning tube to make sure it was straight.
