Bent coupler pin

You said, the pin in the hitch coupler? Do you mean the ball coupler that is 1/4" dia or are you talking about the truck receiver pin that holds the WD hitch shank in place, the 5/8" dia pin?

Assuming you mean the 5/8" receiver pin, are you using a 2 1/2" to 2" adapter in the receiver? If so, this has been a reported problem of bending the 5/8 pin.

Also, the 2 1/2 to 2 adapter derates the allowed tongue weight, in most cases 1,200#

Let us know what pin and if you are using the 2 1/2 to 2 adapter.
