So today while trying to get our new fifth wheel ready and loading up our gear into the new trailer, I noticed that the gap between the wheels was considerably wider than our old trailer. I took out our rotochocks and verified that indeed they were not wide enough to fit between the wheels. (i guess that's another item that I'm going to give to the new owners of our old trailer). While looking in to purchase a new set of rotochocks, I discovered that I couldn't find them online anywhere. In fact, they don't even appear when entering the name in the search engine. The closest thing i have found, is the BAL wheel stabilizer. Just wondering what the best chock is out there on the market or what most people are using? Sad to see rotochock go away, I really liked them and were easy to use.

I use a big rock at home.. No, really... It's wedge shaped, big, heavy.. I pull it out of the way, and I use it as a guide when I'm backing the trailer in when I park it. I know to keep about 2' away from it and I know I'm good.Roll it into place and set it with my foot.. :)On the road, I just use some home made 4x4 wedges and a rotochock setup.. Since yours does not fit anymore, maybe rig up some sort of spacer for it between the wheels?Good luck! Mitch

Reality is you are compressing the tires a bit. No harm!

Yep, the wide spaced ones look sketchy but we have the ones pictured and they don't move.

Since jacking under an axle is something that axle manufacturers don’t want, how much pressure can those X-Chocks generate jacking between the axles?

Because many folks are gullible and think that because it's "made for a RV" then it is a necessary item.
I can count on zero fingers how many robo chocks or whatever they are living in the real world outside of rv parks and campgrounds!

Buy Buy buy. How much wider do the wedges need to be to work. Bolt wood or rubber to the wedges you have.

You couldnt be more wrong. If you were to ever use the Rotochoks you would understand. They dont just keep the trailer from rolling down the hill. They are part of the stabilization system to control shaking and bouncing. There is a very noticable difference between sitting in my driveway with wooden blocks vs on a campsite with rotochoks. When you have a 140lb dog that wants to play ball in the trailer they are worth every penny spent. Its just a shame that they are no longer in business
