Back in the mid 50's I remember a few kids coming to school in our small town whose family lived in a "trailer house". Generally these kids father was a construction worker and the family rarely stayed for more than a few months. I especially remember a girl that played a soprano saxophone when I was in junior high. All of these kids were really friendly and I remember missing them when they moved on.

That's really nifty. A dinette that becomes a tub, kerosene furnace/ stove, a tow dolly, and all built right around WWII era. No wonder they are called the greatest generation.

As an aside I wonder how many of us were bit by the camper/RV bug in childhood like OP's adorable DW? My grandparents took us camping in a 1970's era Executive. How are you going to keep 'em in a tent after that? :)
