Brake Buddy Servicing

I have a Brake Buddy supplemental braking system (2008 vintage). I have noticed an increasing time delay while the system builds pressure upon start-up. I presume this to be a result of wear and leaking seals and wonder if anyone has had a similar experience and what was done to service the unit?
  • Thank you both for your responses. I will check with Brake Buddy to see what they have to say.

Thanks for the information. It may not be too practical to send it from Canada - causes problems with customs at the border and often high shipping costs.

  • I think we have the same Brake Buddy as you. We inquired at the Tampa RV Show last January about getting it serviced. We were informed it had to be sent back to the factory for service. I can't recall for sure, but I think it had to go to Oregon. Since we are also from Ontario and were moving around last winter, it was not practical to send it anywhere. It is holding together, but does make some noises on occasion and one of these days, we feel it will fail.

Maybe someone else can provide a service location. C.W. will not touch it.
