Hook it to the frame of the vehicle or something other than part of the hitch. If for some bizarre reason the entire hitch broke loose you want pin to pull at the breakaway switch and the brakes to engage
I looked underneath the truck and I think the factory 2 1/2 receiver is completely welded to the frame. My breakaway cable is about 4 feet long and I don't see a better place. Where do you recommend?
