Camco Sewer Hose 39761, 39762, And 39770

You may want to consider returning the RhinoFlex when you receive it at your local Wal-Mart and ordering the RhinoEXTREAM, with all the fittings, from Amazon. A few dollars more, but it will be worth it in the long run.

I would have checked out the RhinoEXTREAM hose but I already ordered the RhinoFlex 39741 from Walmart for $35.25. It has two 10' pieces and most people but not all seem satisfied with it. If I don't like it for some reason I'll report back and let everybody know. Hopefully I'll get to find out soon.

If you decide to purchase a RhinoFlex sewer hose I would strongly suggest the RhinoEXTREAM. This is why I recommend it. The regular RhinoFlex hoses use a steel coiled wire molded inside the hose to give it the spring coil affect. The wire ends up rusting out, breaks and then pokes holes in the hose. Eventually the hose ruptures at the most inopportune time. The RhinoEXTREAM hose uses a very durable plastic material (not sure what composition) as the coil. It is far superior to the metal coil and will not rust nor poke holes in the hose.

I've had mine for about 3 years now and RV about 9 months out of a year, so hose gets a lot of use.

I think i'm the only one her that despises the Rhino hose. Mine has been in my shed for 3 years

I use the red Camco hose. No idea of the number. First one lasted about 5 years. I was so happy with it I bought a second one. You can't go wrong. The hoses that "pull to extend" don't please me because I want to touch the stinky slinky as little as possible. As inexpensive as they all are it's hard to make a wrong choice.

I once bought a good Walmart hose. Didn't like it. It bent too easily. All hoses will bend if you step on them.

Thanks for all of the replies. I'm thinking that the 39762 is the same as a 39761 but the 39762 may be sold exclusively by Walmart. I'm going to buy the Rhino but I'm going to check on the 20' Rhino that Walaby referred to.

I have used a Camco Revolution Swivel from Walmart for the past 4 years and will continue to use it this coming season. It has sat out 6-8 months per year and still has no leaks.

Those blue Camco hoses sold at Walmart and Camping World are 2 year hoses. I have one that came with the Sahara that I've never used. Another vote for Rhino. I stepped on one last season and so far no leaks, but I plan to replace it in the spring.

We had an expensive Valterra kit that I thought worked really well for almost 10 years. It came with 2 10' hoses, some adapters and a graduated elbow for the park sewer connection. I stepped on one of the hoses once and it still worked fine even though it was a little flattened in one spot. After 10 years it developed a pine hole leak in one of the hoses, so we bought the RhinoFlex.

I sure wish I bought the RhinoFlex instead of the Valterra. We have 1 15' hose. I like that it can be compressed and stay compressed. If I only need 6 feet of hose, I can compress it to 6' long instead of having to snake it around the camp site to keep good flow. The material it is made out of is definitely stronger and should resist puncture from small stones and the like. I don't think it would survive being stepped on though as it is more rigid.

I don't think I'd buy anything else.
