camper manual

we have a 1998 Shadow Cruiser pop up truck camper.
anyone out there know where to get a owners manual online for this?
TIA,
Mike
  • You might try the Truck Camper forum. I know there are at least 2 people that have Shadow Cruisers.
  • I just Googled "1998 Shadow Cruiser" and got a wealth of info. There is a You Tube that I did not look at, and several links to the company and history of the company.

    Good luck.

  • I suspect that the sales department has at least one copy of the sales brochures for that model year. Unless a parent corporation or a holding company has gone on a records management frenzy.
  • The interior has been changed some in particular the table/fold down bed assembly and was mostly curious as to the original set up and hoped a owners manual might include some pics

There are two books you can get, Depending on which the dealer carries, One is called, as best I recall: The RV BOOK, The other: The RV Owner's Handbook.

Both are "Generic" owner's manuals... however how much manual do you need for 4 walls, A floor and a ceiling? I mean that's about all there is to the RV manual.

Now your Microwave, Sink, Doors, Awnings, Windows, Converter and a long list of other things (Toilet) were not made by the company that made the RV and those devices, once you determine the make and model, You can download the manual from the manufacturer's customer support web page.

NOTE: Sometimes the make is smoked.. For example The Microwave in my RV has a well known RV accessory company name on the outside.. But the ID tag says it's a piece of Lousy Goods made by LG (that means lousy goods right,,, Well it does in my book) So of course I had to do a bit of engineering and modification in order to make it work.

But the LG manual still applies.

    Good advice here

  • Did you try customer service at Cruiser RV?

If the manufacturer actually produced an owner's manual, it would be carried as a service part. Not necessarily stocked for 15 years.

Not all RV manufacturers produce model-specific manuals. The manuals for all the appliances would be provided by the manufacturers of those parts.
  • RV manuals are pretty much worthless and very generic.

Most are full of disclaimers and warnings....like, "Caution, propane is flammable." ...:S
