- lpxguyExplorertow dolly
- BumpyroadExplorerdo you have the owner's manual. that is a definitive source of an answer.
bumpy - LaPlayaExplorerThe owners manual says not towable. That is probably to cover their ass from any liability. I already own this vehicle and am trying to figure out a way to tow this rather than buy a tow vehicle. I have read that with some modifications, any vehicle can be towed.. I am hoping to find someone who is towing one and what they had to do to get it towable. I really don't want to have to deal with a tow dolly.
- mowermechExplorerCheck with REMCO, see if they make a lube pump for it.
That pump or a dolly is probably your only choices, other than replacing the vehicle.
Personally, I would not have any vehicle for a toad that required ANY modification!
My Jeep is towable 4 down.
My PT cruiser is towable on a dolly.
I will not pay the price for a lube pump or a driveshaft disconnect.
But, that's just me. YOU gotta do what pleases YOU!
Good luck. - LaPlayaExplorer

What jeep model do you have? Is it automatic transmission or standard?

Doesn't matter which model. Put the transfer case in neutral, unlock the steering, and they're good to go. - LaPlayaExplorer

ok, so I am still not sure though... does it have to be a standard transmission only, or can you tow one with an automatic transmission without any modifications ? Thanks.
