^It’s very believable what Mr DC has re-counted here. And I would imagine many of all of us have seen this scenario before or been part of it.
And if DC couldn’t perceive the A slowing then he probably didn’t slow down. If the A driver couldn’t see that he was being passed on a double yellow with an oncoming vehicle, then he was either not paying attention or was actively part of the problem it seems.
