- MerrythoughtExplorerWe have a 2019 Challenger sitting in the driveway. It is the ScatPak T/A model with 485HP and fun to drive! Next model up from this is the Hellcat. When we met, DH had a 1970 Challenger and I have been pestering him for two years to buy a Challenger.

My guess is it will return in the form of an Electric vehicle and walk all over any previous gas version. Give it a couple years. Nice looking car.- alexleblancExplorerI’m a mustang guy, I’ve driven the new Camero’s several times and they’re great to drive other than not being to see out of them. Depending on the trim level they can be real track monsters but in the end most people can’t live with the stuff that makes the, good on the track and terrible on the street.
I’ll take my GT350 over the ZL1 any day.
The Challenger is awesome, and they keep making it better, it’s certainly second on my list. - Grit_dogNavigator

I could only imagine what the insurance rate was that came with a HP Stang for a new to driving teenager. I'm actually surprised someone even insured it.
Agree, stupid is as stupid does. But that kid would have probably killed himself in a prius too....
Not knowing the whole situation, it's speculation only, but not all kids (or parents) are that dumb. My 16y/o is driving a Mustang GT. It's slower that the car we gave him for his birthday.... But yes he is responsible and a better driver than the average "adult" around here. I wouldn't have approved of it if he wasn't. But he's been driving or operating anything with a steering wheel or handlebars starting at about age 8, gets straight As, has 2 jobs and is going to junior college next year as a junior in high school, while palying rep soccer. Now if I could just get him to change his own oil, he'd be the perfect kid! lol
(Actually couldn't be prouder of either of our boys)
Insurance isn't that bad actually. About $50 a month more for the GT or the old SRT8 compared to an average car. It's a 2006 though. Ins wanted his first born to insure him on a new SRT8. Oh well, he doesn't get to drive it unless he's driving me home with a belly full of Crown Royal! - p220sigmanExplorerUnfortunately, some parents don't give it a second thought if little Johnny wants it. We have a friend that lives on a residential street at the end of a curve. They were getting ready for bed when they heard a loud noise out front. Having been there before, they knew it was a car crash. They rush outside to find a 16 YO crawling (thankfully) out of a brand new F150 Platinum (still had the temp tag on it) that had rolled multiple times, taking out their brick mailbox before being stopped by a tree. Kid's parents came and took him home. Three days later, they saw the kid in another brand new F150 Platinum go by their house at a high rate of speed. They heard from a neighbor of the kid, that he crashed that one too and got hurt pretty bad. Hopefully he and everyone around him survives his teen years.

Too late....plenty of people turned these cars into future beer cans already.
But then again, a lady turned a message board on one of my freeway jobs into 500 pieces that required a broom and dust pan to clean up this morning. She was driving a Hyundai.
So what’s your point?
Plus I’ve never been over 160 in the SRT. Ran out of straight road too quick, lol.

Exactly...700 HP car, pickup towing 20k+ trailer :h
Don't they both require matter between the ears to operate. I am more afraid of the texting, inattentive driver in a 200 hp car than the former two examples.
