Look at the new Fiat! Its desperately cute and functional and can be towed wheels down, it's very light and practical. I see a lot of them as toads now.
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, a Fiat Challenger. - RobertRyanExplorer

Dale Earnhardt Takes The New Camaro Sideways With CNBC On Secret Aussie Test Track
While yesterday gave us our first look at the un-camouflaged new Chevy Camaro, who knew CNBC's Phil LeBeau had a scoop that'd put our blow-the-top-off coverage of Chevy's new muscle car to shame with the mullet-wearing demographic? He's got NASCAR star-of-stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr. ripping the new 2010 Chevy Camaro sideways through a secret test track somewhere in the Aussie outback in this new video over at CNBC. Though the 2010 Camaro is still wearing some serious body camo cladding, we're totally loving the screechingly good music coming from those rear tires. However, we'll try to ignore that "body roll" comment, because perhaps Dale just doesn't know that drive impressions are probably embargoed for sometime next year. Well, whatever. By the way, we've got a whole mess of new shots of the new Chevy Camaro RS below — now looking yellow, red and silver — so pick your color pleasure. via
Previous 2010 Camaro, same body style as new 2016, but Alpha platformFollowing the development of the Zeta architecture and because of its position as the GM global center of RWD development, GM Holden in Australia led the final design, engineering, and development of the Camaro. Original plans for the car included sharing the chassis with the Chevrolet Impala, which was to have switched to the Zeta platform. However, a 2007 energy law drastically changing the Corporate Average Fuel Economy forced GM to scuttle plans for replacing the W-Body Impala with the Zeta-based Impala.[34] However, the new Camaro will be produced at the Oshawa Car Assembly manufacturing plant in Canada.[35] 2,750 jobs would have been lost at the Oshawa manufacturing plant which had been originally scheduled to be closed in 2008; some of these jobs were saved due to the new Camaro's production.[36] This new product program and conversion of the Oshawa plant to a state of the art flexible manufacturing facility represented a US$740,00

Funny, my wife and I were just talking about maybe getting rid of the fw and getting a class A, then getting something small to tow behind it. I suggested maybe a Challenger or Camaro, but no, she wants some tiny practical car.

The current one is too big and too heavy, but it sells well. This one seems to be a near perfect blend of GM looks, size, performance, practicality and (hopefully) price. The mustang now has some true competition. It might be interesting to see what Hyundai does with it's slow selling but equally wonderful Genesis coupe. Things are looking good for those in that particular market.

What is impractical about either the Challenger or the Camaro?????
LOL, I know where you're coming from here. I'm lucky enough that the wife actually likes the Challengers. - Ron3rdExplorer III

Birth of the Camaro 1967!
Wish I still had my 67 SS 350, with rally headlights & hood and debadged. 295HP 10.25 compress ratio, Muncie wide ratio, 3.23 gears and Bose 8T Stereo. VV Mono Leaf rear springs VV, 68 brought a better rear suspension. Bought it in 68 while in the Coast Guard and sold it in the early 70's. Drats!

Brings back memories; I had a 67 Camaro SS/RS convertible back in '75. Bought it for $150 out of a bone yard with a blown engine. Put rebuilt engine in and sold it for $500 about 2 years later. Funny thing is, the downside at the time was it was a CONVERTIBLE. You couldn't give a convertible muscle car away in those days (convertibles were for grandmas) everybody wanted the hardtop.
