Coleman Basement AC question.

We will be staying at a campground tonight that only offers 30 amp service, I am hoping to use our AC , we will be in Mississippi. My motor home does have a EMS system. (not sure how it works exactly) does anyone have an idea if I can use AC or not? AC is Coleman 46515-811 69859 Two Ton Plus Basement Central Air Conditioner with Heat Pump 13500 BTU. I am assuming no microwave and AC. Thank you for any help! :)
  • Thank you all very much for the help, I have had my motor home for years but there's always new info to learn. :)

Switch your refer to propane and shut off the ice maker. Run the water heater on propane if you have an electric option. You should be fine and I would not use the Microwave until you are sure it's cool enough inside.
  • Yes you can run a AC on 30 AMPS and much more.
Your EMS may/will shut off the AC if you turn on the microwave.
After micro shuts off the AC will restart.

My 30 AMP EMS will let 2 AC's run at the same time. But will shut one at a time off if many other things are turned on at the same time.
  • It will work. The second compressor might not kick in but it will run. We use ours on 30 when that is all that is available.
