Cool Tent Camper

Those were fairly popular in the mid-50's through early 70's. I always preferred to pitch my tent on the ground, less of a drop when I stumbled outside the door in the middle of the night to do whatever :)

Here's the redneck version. Looks like they took their kids crib and mounted it on top the car! :B

'swamp coolers' Are air conditioners,

they work off of evaporation instead of refrigeration

but they 'condition/cool' the air just not as much

That Air Conditioner is a Swamp Cooler.

Look at that old-fashioned air conditioner hanging out the window.

Having to negotiate the ladder in the middle of the nite for a nature call looks like a recipe for disaster to me :)
