CPAP and 12 volts

I don't have a cigarette outlet in the bedroom but I have a USB port. Can I use this for a power outlet to operate a CPAP?
  • "Thanks for the info. It looks like I'll be installing a 12 outlet"

Snow, what's the draw (AH) on the CPAP? What's your house battery/ies AH capacity? What is your method for recharging...generator and/or solar?
  • Thanks for the info. It looks like I'll be installing a 12 outlet.
  • I ran a dedicated 12V line to wife's side of bed, and installed a cigarette plug, so she can plug her's in.
  • In most trailers the bedroom is in the front and close enough that it's easiest to wire a 12 volt outlet straight to the batteries. Just make sure you put a fuse in the line.
  • If you or your DW/DH need a CPAP, a bunch more studying is necessary...no, impariative..before before you venture outdoors. Start with basic RV power reading.
