seems a subject of some debate.
manual for my ram says no cruise if speed drops more than 10 mph while towing up a grade... so far I've only seen a 2-3 mph drop on the little hills we have around here in Michigan.
Personally, I'm not worried about damage to the truck; I'm under warranty and only borrowing it from Fiat for a few years, someone else can replace the tranny. :B
If I go over a big bump or railroad tracks the computer shuts off the cruise control, so I figure it will shut off the cruise if it's damaging the engine / transmission. If not, the the computer should disable it when tow/haul is engaged.
