Does anyone use a "Power Caster"

Hi All,

We are on a narrow street and have been keeping our TT, 225 RBS Shadow Cruiser, at another location. So, we are considering keeping the TT at home and a Power Caster would/could make this happen.

Doing a bit of research I find 10 months of storage would pay for the Power Caster required for our TT. Also this change would free up a bit of cash to do more camping! :)

I would like some input on this from others who are familiar with the Power Caster. Our driveway has a slight downhill grade but I see the PC has trailer brake use. Sure seems easy!

Your input please!

Thanks in advance!

Michael
  • I tried a Power Caster with my boat. Worked great on the driveway, but the approach was roadbase and the PC couldn't get traction.

If your entire run is paved, they work great.
  • I have used a PC for over 14 years with a tandem axle boat/trailer. It worked great. The only maintenance over this period was an occasional airing up of the tire and a little lube on the chain. It has worked perfectly, and as long as you are on a hard surface that little sucker has a bunch of power.
  • My neighbor has a power caster but he sold his car hauler. Good product to move a TT into a tight spot.

  • I have one and used it on my old trailer (about 9k lbs) and it worked great getting up my sloped driveway and around the back of the house. My newer trailer wont fit around back, so I ended up putting in a driveway out front I can back right into.
