That's been a very large scam everywhere. I manage a retail pharacy and my employees are on a constant watch for this.

A fool and their money are soon parted.

Any sane person would've hung up or asked for a number so they could call them back.

And why didn't the credit card company flag her card? I mean they flagged mine after the 4th gas stop in one day! It seems iTunes gift card purchases of that amount would put a flag up!

Either way, she isn't very bright!

I have a hard time feeling sorry for people, in this day and age, still fall for this.

Scams like this have been around for centuries (literally), the form changes but the con is the same. They only exist because people keep falling for them.

Only a few days ago, someone posted that they were looking into buying a trailer on eBay that "looked clean". Why, oh why, would anyone even think about buying an rv sight unseen from an unknown party?

Well. in many cases.. YES.. By the way I just had a scam attempt on my phone yesterday... ... Let's just say I failed to .. er.. Byte.

Back to subject.. many actually do not, and on top of that I can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that many media outlets LIE (please don't ask but it is a very simple proof).

So many simply don't believe it.

And far too many folks worship at the wrong church.. You know that old song "Old Time Religion".. Well this verse is copyright... ME.

The lure of a fast buck.... For some hard to resist. very hard.

(I usually post that verse in a totally different enviorment but it fits here like a glove too.. And by the way I correctly parahprased the Bible. "For the Love of Money roots many evils" (not all and not money itself) What roots ALL.. LUST,, including a LUST (love of) Money.

When I had my motorhome listed for sale I got a call from a guy in the Military that wanted to pay for it with his Pay Pal account and send a driver to come pick it up. I told him to send a big sack of $100 bills with the driver and he could take it away after the bank checked the bills out. He hung up.
