Door window sealant?

I was about to replace the Window frame when I noticed signs of silicone around the window?

What do suggest?
Just basic silicone or what is best to seal it?

Yes, that was my concern also. I felt 2 1/2 weeks was plenty of time to ship the window and was shocked at the 4-6 weeks notice. I too am headed out come June 1st for a 2 week trip with the TT so it did place some worry on me that I wouldn't receive it in time.

I am assuming the 4-6 weeks for shipment is more in-line with their custom order windows but give them an out for the standard EDWIN window if they run short on supply.

Exactly what I found out when I did mine 3 years ago.
I was a little put off by that and I contacted them because I had some plans made and wanted to get a time frame of when to put it in.

I received a reply that same day from Sue Phillips that it was shipped the day after the order was received and my window was delivered within a week.

yeah, that irked me a little bit too when that shipping information was mentioned after the order was complete.

The good news... it only took about 1 week to receive it once the order was placed ๐Ÿ™‚

A pretty much unanimous opinion to those who have bought them.

Found your post mildly amusing... I received my EDWIN window today and will get it installed this weekend. I'm only replacing to get the added ventilation along with being able to see out of it.

RedRock204
How long did it take for you to get it once you ordered it ?
I'm hoping certainly NOT the 4-6 weeks like the site says.

So is this a product, that I get at RV shops?

Not certain on the Geocel but Dicor, yes.

Remove all the silicone. Use a silicone removal product to get all traces of it off your RV. Replace it with Geocel Pro RV or Dicor non-leveling sealant. You could try epoxy on the frame but I've had not so good luck with it on certain plastics, particularly some ABS based plastics.

Thanks for the link but more that I'm ready to spend right now.

Or does it even need silicone?
Maybe they just added it being the frame was cracked in 4 places?
