East Coast Camping in April
Any suggestion on where to go camping in April. Would love to go to Acadia but a bit too cold and campgrounds are still closed.

Lots of places to go in April....where are you located in the NY/NJ area?
Bunch of state parks open at that time... but none with W/E in NJ...
Turkey Swamp County Park in Freehold NJ (W/E)open 4/1
Croton Point Park on the Hudson River (W/E/S) open year round
Spruce Run Recreation Area (Dry Camping) open 4/1
Worthington State Forest (Dry Camping) open 4/1
Swartswood State Park (Dry Camping) open year round
Allaire State Park (Dry Camping) open year round
Cheesequake State Park (Dry Camping) open 4/1
Promise Land State Park (W/E and W/E/S) open year round (limited)
These are locations within about two hours of Paramus, NJ
There are plenty more....we tend to do three or four trips before Memorial Day almost every year with our kick off to the season in the first couple weeks of April...
