Enclosed Car Hauler With Elongated Tongue

I am looking for an 8.5' X 20' enclosed car hauler with an elongated tongue. Anyone know a dealer in North Texas or Oklahoma that keeps these trailers in stock? I want one with a 60" plus tongue. I would be pulling it behind a 40' motor home diesel pusher. Any advice on a trailer or dealer? Thanks!

Flat front for me.

I have a big Haulmark trailer that I found on Craigslist. The tongue on it is over 48" but I can't remember the exact length. 52" rings a bell.

I've used a V-nose trailer for non RV trips, and I honestly hate the V nose space in the front of the trailer. I can't pack totes in a logical arrangement in the angular space. I HATE IT.

I've heard of people with V-front trailer behind a class A or Class C, and they hated it. Something about how the air flows around behind the coach, a V front trailer creates weird turbulence and affects how the trailer travels down the road.

I V-front works great for less wind resistance behind a regular truck, but it does nothing in that regard for a tall truck and camper (like I have) or towed behind a Class C or DP CLass A

I do have to take right hand corners a little wider because of the 18" tongue extension.That's why I questioned the 60" and having to make even wider turns. If I didn't have the 18" extension, I think the trailer would follow the same turning path as the MH.

My trailer has a shallow 18" V-nose. I think that is why the dealer recommended the 18" extension. With a flat nose, I don't think it would have been a concern. The actual length of my tongue from the point of the V, to the end of the coupler is 40".

Thanks for your help everyone! I appreciate it very much. The 60" is really the standard 48" tongue plus 12" The standard tongue plus 18" I have been told is another option. Glad to hear they are working for you. Are your trailers flat or V fronts?

I know Wells Cargo / Haulmark (both owned by Universal Trailers) will build a trailer with an extended tongue. The dealer I have dealt with say there's the option during the order process.

I have a 22' Haulmark trailer with a 18" extended tongue over the standard length. I tow it behind a 40' motorhome and even on the sharpest turns, it never even comes close to making contact with the trailer.
A Haulmark dealer in your area should have one in stock or be able to get one from another dealer out of the area.

Curious as to why you want such a long tongue extension?

I had one custom made. The manufacturer didn't want to extend the tongue. I should've gotten a 20' box put on a 22'-24' frame.

Get one in all aluminum for weight savings.
